How We Use The Information We Gather
To build our traffic statistics database we rely on the input of citizen advocates who have registered to participate in our on-going study. Registration is absolutely free. Registration is required of all users submitting violations reports to insure the integrity of our database. This enrollment process includes providing us your full name, mailing address, city, state, zip code, phone number and an e-mail address which can be verified through our automated double opt-in process.
All registrants agree to our Terms of Use Policy and our Privacy Policy which may be viewed at anytime by visiting our website. A registered user is known as a Grand Marshall [a person who agrees to abide by posted speed laws and to report violators in good-faith i.e., to not falsify or make up a violation or make a report as retaliation of any-kind.
Submitting a report is as simple or as complex as the user [Grand Marshall] wishes. Of course, the more information about each incident reported the more accurate the results of our study will be. Minimum reporting includes state license or tag/plate number and state of issue. Time of day, location, direction of travel and other offenses may also be provided. Part of our verification process may include contacting you by phone or e-mail to verify a report that you submitted. Should we be unable to verify the complaint with you, we may at our option delete/purge the report from our system. We endeavor to contact you only if absolutely necessary to insure our database is sound and violations being reported are actual events as witnessed by you.
The information contained within our databases, with the exception of your personally identifiable data may/will be made available to insurance companies, law enforcement agencies and other government agencies that may apply to receive the information for the sole purpose of traffic control, study or implementation of safe road controls. Your personally identifiable data will never be shared, loaned, rented, sold or otherwise used for outside marketing purposes.
Can I Challenge My Own Vehicle Listing?
Should you find your own personal vehicle listed in our Violators Listing you may, submit a request in writing to have your report validated. Upon completion of our investigation we will either remove/purge your listing or we will leave it as is with a notation that you submitted a challenge. Our determination is sole and final.
